Nassau County Area Information
Amelia Island is rich in its natural beauty and abundant in its history. This charming shrimping town offers visitors an unspoiled setting for sitting back and just relaxing. Although the island is only 13 miles long and 2 miles wide, it provides many activities ranging from golfing to horseback riding and tennis to kayaking. For those of you that only want to spend quiet time with nature, you can visit Fort Clinch State Park or just stroll along the white sands of the beach. Amelia Island is located just 20 minutes from the Georgia border and only 30 minutes from Jacksonville.
